Nobody can single-handedly improve project success.
To be able to make a difference, you will need to partner-up with others, and strengthen execution capabilities across the full organization.
Partnering skills are one of the 3 skills (alongside meta-skills and anticipation-skills) you should consider strengthening to be able to deal with the organization dynamics that your transformation moves trigger.
Partnering skills give you the ability to implement your strategies, and deliver on transformation goals successfully.
4 Partnering Skills
These include having a strong basis of content, business and functional expertise, including these 4 skills specifically:
1️⃣Transformation Management - to deploy the right approach, and manage the portfolio, programs and projects through change, including:
2️⃣Strategy Implementation - to be successful in linking Transformation Management to business strategy, and get bold results that matter, including:
3️⃣Business Mindset - without business knowledge your expertise doesn’t translate in business impact, including
> Investing in functional (e.g. finance, marketing, IT) or industry (e.g. education, building, industrials) expertise to bring intelligence in applying your skills.
4️⃣Creative Problem Solving & Behavior Design - the core activity of finding new solutions to new and old problems.
Why partnering skills are important
Embedding these capabilities in your organization, increases both your transformation competence as well as your transformation mindset, to create potential transformation stars.

Build your transformation competence and mindset
Not investing in either of these skills, prolongs a cultural of 'naysaying' - we can't do this - this is how we have always done it - it didn't work in the past.
Having only transformation competence can accidentally produce good results, however, without the mindset change would not ensure lasting sustainable change.
Only having a strong transformation mindset, on the other hand, creates a positive do-good vibe, but is not likely to be effective.
Are you a potential transformation star?
Potential stars can realize their true potential by also investing in meta-skills, energy presentation and movement/anticipation skills (see forthcoming article) to achieve deep transformation.
Mastering the partnering capabilities through training and practice, gives you stronger confidence to take bold decisions and actions (true transformation moves) and start getting results beyond the ordinary.
Are you set-up to be a potential star?
